– NJ Riot® Lacrosse held tryouts for its 2017 Freshman team as well as its youth teams (grades 4-8).  Nearly 95 H.S. Freshman came out and competed for a spot on our 2017 Rising Freshman team.  Hundreds of boys turned up to try out for spots on our inaugural youth teams.  The competition was fierce but we expect great things from out teams next Summer!

August 2013
– As detailed above, NJ Riot and Morris Select Lacrosse have merged.  All Morris Select programs and teams (grades 5-8) will be rebranded as NJ Riot teams, along with the Morris Select fall league and all its clinics and camps.  More details about new programs will be announced very soon.

– NJ Riot® is honored to announce that Cooper Telesco, a midfielder on our 2016 team has verbally committed to play lacrosse for Cornell University.  Cooper attends Ridgewood H.S. and also excels in hockey.

7/21/13: NJ Riot 2016 wins Patriot Games 2013 taking the JVA-2 title!

NJ RIOT 2017 NEWS:  Tryout-Evaluations for the NJ RIOT 2017 team will be held on two dates:

Tuesday September 3

* 6/23/2013: NJ RIOT 2016 WINS AT THEIR FIRST TOURNAMENT IN THEIR FIRST SUMMER OF COMPETITIVE PLAY!!  Riot 2016 went undefeated (5-0) through the weekend at the Bryant Bulldog Classic in Smithfield, RI and defeated the Westchester Warriors U17 (a mix of 2016, 2015 and 2014 players) to take the U17A Division title! On Saturday June 9th, NJ Riot 2016 headed north to Greenwich, CT for a pre-summer scrimmage vs. CT Chargers.

NJ Riot 2016 has added the Leopard Classic at Lafayette College to its summer slate of tournaments.  NJ Riot 2016 will attend this prestigious recruiting event on July 3, 2013.

May 2013

* NJ Riot 1026 has been invited to play in one of the top lacrosse tournaments on the west coast in San Diego, CA in  January 2014.  More details to come…..

* NJ Riot® Lacrosse is proud to announce that former Johns Hopkins-Towson lacrosse player and current Millburn High School Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Bill McCutcheon, will be Riot’s new Director of Coaching.  Bill will help the Riot LacrosseTM establish (along with its current stellar coaches) training, tournament selection and Fall-Winter programs.  The Riot’s goal is to provide the best of everything to our current and future membership.  This is yet another great puzzle piece in the NJ Riot organization.

* NJ Riot 2016 is also dedicated to community service.  A solid contingent of Riot players went to Port Monmouth Beach, and put in a hard days days work helping to clean up Hurricane Sandy damage.
